Transform your device to be more efficient thanks to SoundLatch: Keep Speaker Awake. Quazmoz and APPzone collaborate to present this digital solution. Find interesting tips in Tools.

Official Version And The App SoundLatch: Keep Speaker Awake

Your speaker should be ready when the next sound starts. SoundLatch keeps a controlled audio stream active during quiet periods to help compatible Bluetooth speakers, soundbars, headphones, USB audio devices, and Android TV audio outputs avoid idle standby.

Start protection, choose the connected output, and keep control from a clear persistent notification. SoundLatch shows the expected output, active signal mode, elapsed time, and auto-stop status, with pause and stop controls always available.

FIND A MODE THAT FITS YOUR DEVICE

Different audio products detect inactivity differently. SoundLatch begins with the least intrusive option and guides you toward a working setup:

• Digital Silence keeps an open zero-level audio stream.
• Near-Silent Signal uses a very low nonzero signal for devices that ignore complete silence.
• Periodic Pulse sends a brief low-level signal at a selected interval.
• Compatibility Mode provides additional interval, duration, frequency, and amplitude controls.

Signals may not be completely inaudible on every device, at every volume, or in every environment. Test at a safe listening level before leaving protection active.

GUIDED COMPATIBILITY TESTING

The Compatibility Wizard helps you:

• Select an available audio output
• Enter an approximate standby timeout
• Test less intrusive modes first
• Confirm whether the speaker stayed awake
• Save a working profile for later use

SoundLatch may need your confirmation because Android cannot always determine whether external hardware has physically entered standby.

SAVE DEVICE PROFILES

Store the settings that work for each supported device, including connection type, signal mode, interval, duration, amplitude, auto-stop timer, charging preference, and last successful test date.

BUILT FOR TRANSPARENCY

• User-controlled start, pause, and stop
• Persistent foreground notification while protection is active
• Local device profiles
• No microphone required
• No audio recording
• No contact access
• No Bluetooth address collection
• Clear battery-use controls
• No advertising

IMPORTANT LIMITATIONS

Compatibility depends on the audio device, its firmware, Android version, connection type, volume, and battery-management behavior. Some products may sleep even while receiving audio. Calls, alarms, navigation, voice assistants, multipoint connections, and other media apps may change the active audio route.

SoundLatch does not increase Bluetooth range, repair unstable hardware, disable manufacturer firmware, or guarantee delivery of alarms or critical alerts. Keeping an audio route active can increase battery use on both the Android device and connected audio equipment.

SoundLatch supports Android phones, tablets, Android TV, and Google TV where compatible.
